What comes up most
Read one after another, the reviews return to the same three points. They are worth naming first, because each is a deliberate decision about how we build a departure.
The guide. The first thing most reviews mention. Our guides are local, certified and work in English and Spanish. What stands out is not the memorised fact but the room to ask questions. Several reviews name the guide by nickname.
Group size. Departures run in small groups. The guide speaks without raising their voice, boarding is quick, and there is margin to linger at each stop.
The vehicles. Departure and return from the office on Calle 61, downtown Merida, in air-conditioned vehicles. If your accommodation is on the way to the tour or near downtown, pickup is arranged over WhatsApp when you book.

What a wonderful experience on the cenotes tour, it is incredible. Mariela was always attentive to our questions, very kind. I booked two tours in Spanish with Experiencia Maya Tours and enjoyed them enormously. The guides are locals, experts on the subject and very approachable. Groups are not too large and the activities on offer (archaeological sites, cenotes, lunches, museums) are well worth it. Highly recommended for all ages.
